A gift for All on Mother's Day

I attended my daughter’s college graduation yesterday and loved the Mother’s Day greeting the keynote speaker gave because it included all mothers, not just those with children. All the people who take care of others in some capacity. I believe part of how he phrased it was “and those who are moms to the neighborhood.” I thought that was a lovely way of viewing the world.

I found flowers waiting for me, but no card, but Elsa’s happily claimed credit.

There are a lot of people who ‘mother’ others, and they too deserve thanks and appreciation for all they do on a daily basis. While I’d love to say Happy Mother’s Day, it feels a tad incomplete. So, I’m wishing a Happy Sunday to all, and whether you’re gathering with family, going out for a nice meal, strolling through the woods, or relaxing on your porch and reading a good book… have a wonderful day!
